Arga Labs Banks $10M to Clone Your CRM—So AI Agents Stop Forgetting

Arga Labs closed a $10M seed on Wednesday to clone Salesforce, Workday, and Outlook for AI agent training. The pitch: crash-test-dummy environments for the sales stack before production.

Program notes

  1. Arga Labs announced a $10 million seed round on Wednesday
  2. General Catalyst led, with Box Group, Emergence, Gradient, and SV Angel participating
  3. Arga rebuilds Salesforce, Workday, and Outlook as digital twins, including permission systems, web hooks, and email threads
  4. CEO Phillip Li's flagship example: matching a Salesforce lead to a separate HubSpot email outreach for the same company
  5. General Catalyst MD Yuri Sagalov said most economic value from agents will come from business applications

Most AI agent testing stops at a stateless API (an interface with no memory of past calls). Arga Labs clones the entire enterprise stack instead. The startup closed a $10 million seed round on Wednesday to scale the approach.

General Catalyst led the round, joined by Box Group, Emergence, Gradient, and SV Angel. Arga rebuilds Salesforce, Workday, and Outlook from the ground up. Permission systems, web hooks, and email threads all stay intact.

What's actually different about Arga's approach?

Most vendors sell an API to poke at during evaluation. Arga sells a digital twin, a crash-test dummy for business software in CEO Phillip Li's phrasing. The replica sits in the startup's environment, so an agent can be reset without ever touching production.

For RevOps leaders, that distinction changes the rollout math. You rehearse an agent against a clone of the CRM before anyone logs into the real instance.

Why does this gap matter for sales teams?

Agentic AI (software that takes autonomous action across tools) still stumbles on messy cases reps solve by reflex. Li offered one every ops team recognizes: one rep enters a prospect in Salesforce, while a colleague fires off a separate intro through HubSpot.

"Can the agent correctly identify that these two are the same company?" Li said. "Are they able to check whether or not they've only sent the email once? Are they able to identify who to send the email to out of the two opportunities?"

Most teams still gate agent rollouts behind human review. The tooling has not caught up to the workflow.

Who's backing the round, and why now?

General Catalyst's managing director Yuri Sagalov runs the firm's seed program. He framed the bet around timing rather than tech.

"I think that a lot of the economic value from agents is from using business applications," Sagalov told TechCrunch. "Having a repeatable sandbox environment is very important, and much more important with agents than it was with humans."

The vendor claim to interrogate is throughput. Arga asserts it can spin up many twin environments at once, training agents across CRM and email in tandem. No public benchmark confirms that scale yet, so buyers should weigh the architecture against the first reference deals rather than the demo.

What should RevOps buyers track next?

Watch for the first training runs that exercise Salesforce, Workday, and email in a single session. The hardest metric to verify will be scenario complexity, meaning how tangled a multi-tool task an agent can finish before a human steps back in.

Arga's bet is that the bottleneck shifts from environment setup to scenario design. That's the harder problem for any team scaling agentic outbound or inbound triage.

If the round's thesis holds, expect a wave of agent-testing startups chasing the same gap, with CRM and inbox clones at the center.
